Recently, THB launched their version of the 15407, which addresses these noticeable issues with the dial, making it look much closer to the original.
It’s worth noting that ZF also released a 15407 recently, but when compared to the THB version, THB is more faithful to the original design. Some might wonder, “What is THB factory?” Well, THB is actually affiliated with APS; you can think of THB as a sub-factory of APS.
For this release, THB has produced two color variants: a stainless steel version and a rose gold version. Personally, I would recommend the stainless steel version because the materials and weight are almost identical to the original. The movement used in THB’s 15407 is a modified version of the 3120 movement, and unlike earlier models, the gears are not just decorative—they actually function like those in the original watch.
However, I did notice that the color of the balance wheel still differs slightly from the authentic version. While I haven’t had the chance to see an original 15407 in person, I made this observation by comparing the replica with images of the original. Another interesting feature of the THB version is that it can be upgraded with a high-transparency sapphire crystal, which would make the dial appear even clearer.
In summary, THB’s release of the 15407 is an impressive step toward mimicking the original, especially with the improved movement and dial design. While there are still some minor discrepancies, such as the balance wheel color, overall, this is a highly accurate replica.
